Culinary mastermind, chef Massimo Bottura comes to Brain Bar festival in June

Charitable chef and culinary mastermind Massimo Bottura is one of the highlights of this year’s Brain Bar festival held between 1-2 June on Corvinus University Campus, Budapest. Brain Bar has also announced the full lineup of speakers appearing at this year’s event. The announcement comes with the launch of the festival’s business-oriented Mastermind Sessions and its new generation job fair, Future Jobs.

The starchef who revolutionised Italian gastronomy is widely known not only among foodies: his nonprofit organisation, Food for Soul founded by him and his wife, Lara Gilmore fights against hunger, social exclusion and food wastage.  It was the three Michelin-starred chef of  Osteria Francescana in Modena , who had the idea of opening a very special soup kitchen at Expo Milano 2015 that would feed the poor and homeless of Milan with meals prepared from the waste food of Expo. A year later during the Olympic Games in Rio he did just the same. It grew into a mission: there are now several community kitchens, or Refettorios, around the world where cooks cook from his and famous chefs’ recipes with ingredients that would otherwise be thrown out.

Besides the soulful chef, this year’s lineup features Google’s Vice President Jacqueline Fuller Oscar-nominated production of Hollywood blockbusters Nathan Crowley and superstar of new millennium sci-fi Ted Chiang. From the future of AI to the revolution of robot-human relationships and urban communities, the controversial questions around AI, climate change and sixth extinction, the full program is now available on the website http://brainbar.com/agenda.
