Autumn not only brings the horse racing season at Kincsem Park, but welcomes back the 8th Food Truck Show event in Budapest, featuring the best food trucks from Friday 7th until Sunday 9th September. The event offers you a diverse culinary journey which is innovative, but also traditional. The friendly and familiar atmosphere of Kincsem Park is the perfect spot to enjoy your favourite meals while waiting for the outcome of your bets or listening one of the many street musician who take care of the light mood. The event is accessible to all, and could be enjoyable for all ages. The Hungarian Street Food Association has already helds 150 checked quality buffets in the country, with around 50 cars being present at Kincsem Park. National dishes of different countries have been added to this year’s palette: the Nata Portuguese pastes, Bao Box’s Asian steamed noodles and Food Maffia make typical Cuban sandwiches. In addition to the dishes artisan syrups, beers, pálinka and wines will spoil senses. Kincsem Park is ideally located and easily accessible via public transport, we recommend you to take the shuttle bus which runs in every hour between Deák Ferenc Square and Kincsem Park during the event. Let the colors and flavours drive you to heaven or just enjoy the excitement of the horse races. Programmes: Horse racing, greyhound racing, kite-flying, puppet shows, skills development programs for children, concerts. The three-day event begins with Friday’s trotting and the greyhound races. On Saturday, starting at 14 o’clock, the trotters start. The main competitions are the sprint organized by József Marschall and the long-term Hungária Prize. On Sunday, excellent thoroughbreds measure their skills in the long term Kincsem Prize, the medium-term Aperianov Zakariás memorial competition – the Imperial Prize and the short-term Overdose Prize. In the latter, it is planned to start the unbeaten Tour to Paris, many of whom are similar to Overdose. The street entertainers’ competition gives the opportunity to introduce new talents in a remarkable way. Jugglers, magicians, break dancers, special instrument artists, or even extreme sports representatives, such as street workout crews, freestyle footballers will colour the event. Everyone gets the opportunity to present their talents. Shuttle with Food Truck Show Bus: During the event a 50-person school bus is going between the Deák Square and the Kincsem Park. The bus leaves in every whole hour from the Deák’s CBA shop, and leaves in every half hour from the Kincsem Pak’s main entrance. The shuttle is free. Access by Public Transport: Take the red line’s subway or the bus 100. It’s easy to reach the Kincsem Park through the tunnel on the way to Örs Vezér square from the Pillangó station. Opening Hours: Friday: 16:00 – 23:00 Saturday: 11:00 – 23:00 Sunday: 11:00 – 21:00 Tickets: Admission is free under age 18. The ticket is 900 HUF in advance, on spot 1000 HUF. You have to buy ticket only until the end of the horseraces – (Friday 16:00-20:30, Saturday 12:00-19:00, Sunday 12:00-19:00) The event is a dog-friendly place, but the organisers kindly ask everyone to pay particuliar attention that the races can go calmly.
