"Art washes away from the soul the dust of everyday life." (Pablo Picasso) Looking to bring out your inner artist? Whether or not you know it, there’s a little artist inside of you longing to create something new. If you’ve ignored your inner artist for so long, it might take several attempts to uncover your hidden talent, but it's worth it. Especially when you are travelling abroad, you are likely to be more open for something new. So listen to Pablo Picasso, here's where to start. MadeByYou is a creative studio, specialised in pottery with branches in Bucarest and in Vienna too. You are welcome to drop in any day of the week and paint ceramics, though it is advisable to reserve a table if you plan to visit them on Friday to Sunday. The team is always there to help you and give you guidance and advice. You can also participate in workshops if you register in advance. The system is simple: you choose a ceramic shape from the 100 samples and decide what you wish to paint on it. They also have lots of stencils and several catalogues full of patterns waiting for you, and with the use of their pencil or ceramic indigo you can transfer nearly anything to the surface. You don't need to worry the lines marked by the pencil or the indigo will disappear during the firing process. When you are ready with the outline you can then choose from many colours and surfaces, the is there to help by showing you how to use them all. When you are finished with your creation, you need to leave it at Made-by-You for 2-5 days in order to be fired. The studio is available for team building, but if you would like to celebrate your birthday in a special and memorable way, we recommend to book your session here. Our favourite is the aquarelle painting on ceramics workshop, where you learn the technique, paint a 18 cm or 28 cm plate, and get a notebook as a freebie!
