Buda and Pest are quite different: Buda is the hillier, the greener, the older, the quieter side while Pest is mainly flat, it is the younger, the busier, more dynamic side. People’s preference as to which side is better usually depends on their lifestyle and personality.  The statue of Prince Buda and Princess Pest on Gellért Hill beautifully sums up the way they complement each other.
