Bring your own decorated pumpkin to the Budapest Charity Pumpkin Festival! Halloween or All Saints’ Eve is an annual celebration taking place in many countries. Its origin is said to be coming from an ancient Celtic festival, Samhain, where people used to light bonfires and wear costumes to scare away ghosts. Throughout the centuries it evolved into a day of fun activities such as trick-or-treating, carving pumpkin lanterns, donning costumes and eating sweets. Besides having fun we can do something good for example donate to kids and families in need. On this note the Budapest Charity Pumpkin Festival was established in 2009 and since then every year they organise their event. This year it will be held on Saturday, 26th October at the Heroes Square. The event is open for everyone, especially for families and kids, who can enjoy the various art decorations of Halloween pumpkins at the square.
