The best independent coffees to work from

Lattes and laptops are both important when you’re on a business trip and wish to work out of the office. We’ve compiled a list of independent places where you can get both:  your daily caffeine and a Wi-Fi fix.

Budapest Baristas is a hit with locals and laptoppers alike. In addition to the Casino Mocca coffee, a Hungarian specialty roasting, they prepare your coffee from the Danish The Coffee Collective. Nab one of the window seats and choose from the amazing cooked breakfast to soup and salad, to see you through the day.

Machine: La Marzocco

Address: 1053 Budapest, Múzeum krt. 15

Espresso Embassy is pretty popular with freelancers; you can stay for a while without feeling you’re outstaying you’re welcome. The independent, family-run coffee house knows what it’s doing when it comes to coffee, offering V60, Kalita and aeropress brews, as well as espressos from their pride and joy machine. Just make sure you get there early.

Machine: Victoria Arduino VA388 Black Eagle,

Address: 1051 Budapest, Arany János utca 15.

Kontakt Design Store is a great, unexpected find. Tucked away in a small alley, just off one of the city’s main arteries is a tiny gem of a place, where great coffee meets local design and very randomly, cheaper-than-highstreet Apple products. You really wouldn’t even know this place was there unless you get happen to take the passage.

Machine: La Marzocco GS3,

Address: 1052. Budapest, Károly krt. 22.

Tamp & Pull Espresso and Brew Bar is connected with the four-time Hungarian Barista champion, Molnár Attila. Attila is the first and only one of the Hungarian barmans who won the World Wide Barista Championship in the Barista category and became an international professional. They found Stephen Leighton English rookie, his coffee beans are used in the Tamp & Pull cafes, coming from Has Bean coffee beans. Steve has become one of the best coffee roasters in the world for years of experience and a mile. During your regular visit to coffee grounds, choose the best batches of the current coffee shop, having the opportunity to work on a monthly alternating farm and brew selection with coffees and espresso blends.

Machine: La Scala Carmen,

Address: 1139, Budapest, Váci út 85.

My Little Melbourne is Hungary’s first and now unique brew bar created to meet the needs of filter coffee lovers. The design of the counter allows you to add the fantastic flavors with a maximum visual experience.
