While millions of people celebrate Halloween without knowing its origins and myths, some people view Halloween as a time for fun, putting on costumes, trick-or-treating, and having theme parties. Others view it as a time of superstitions, ghosts, goblins and evil spirits that should be avoided at all costs. Get ready for the scariest exhibition in town! “Murder – The Killer Exhibition” is taking place on nearly 1000 square metres, showing the most infamous murders of the previous decades in 21 rooms. The exhibition is set up with effects and the most modern technology that stimulates every sense of the audience and makes the story of the killers come to life. Such is the story of the Hungarian socialite, Elizabeth Bathory – who was said bathed in the blood of virgins, – Vlad Tepes fka Dracula, the story of Jack the Ripper or Al Capone. The interactive guided tour provides an experience you have never seen before. The exhibition does not aim at showing the harsh violent acts without any purpose as it is based on historical facts and aims at presenting the tragic reality to the visitors. The organisers investigated why and how the culprits committed their brutal acts. At the same time commemorating the victims and sheding some light on the historical and social aspects of the murders. Poisonous parents, sexual harassment suffered in childhood, physical and psychological terror, excommunication and deep psychic wounds gained in their youth is in the background of all of the stories. The exhibiton makes you think about responsibility, about how we should raise our children and about how to behave with other people. You will be part of a group of 10 people moving from room to room guided by an audio guide, accompanied by an animator. An audio guide is available in four languages – English, German, Spanish and Hungarian. The tour lasts around 70 minutes. Where?
